Illustrative warm cedar privacy fence and matching garden gate.

Fence staining in Kelowna, one side or both.

Cedar or pressure-treated boards, gates and post caps, stained in the finish you choose.

Every fence gets the same care.

  1. A wash to get the boards ready for stain
  2. Time for the wood to dry
  3. Sanding where the condition calls for it
  4. Your chosen stain, cut in around posts and rails
  5. Gates and post caps finished by hand

Your side, or the whole fence.

The estimate asks which one you want.

  • One side

Your side only. The usual choice when the neighbour has their own plan, or the far side is against a hedge.

  • Both sides

Both faces for a consistent finish. We confirm access to each side when planning the work.

A finish suited to your fence.

Illustrative cedar fence boards and gate in a warm semi-transparent stain.

Cedar and pressure-treated wood take stain differently, and an old coating changes the prep again. We check the wood and any old finish at the visit and bring finish samples with us.

Gates, lattice and post caps take extra hand work. They are listed in your firm quote, so you know what the price covers.

Fence staining questions.

Can you stain only my side of a shared fence?

Yes. If you want the neighbour's side done as well, we need their okay and access to their yard, and we sort that out before the work is booked.

What moves the price of a fence up or down?

Length, height and whether we stain one side or both set most of it. Gates, lattice and post caps add to it, and so does a peeling finish that has to come off first.

Do you stain pressure-treated fences?

Yes, as well as cedar. New pressure-treated boards often arrive wet from the treatment and need time to dry. Put a few drops of water on a board: if they soak in within a few minutes, the wood is ready.
